There are new concerns on the Katy Trail after a young woman was assaulted Sunday morning.
Anna Chrysikopoulos runs the trail a few times a week. She's training for a half marathon.
On Sunday morning, she ran down the trail, off and into neighborhoods.
As she hopped back on the trail, she says a man grabbed her from behind.
She said, the man "wrapped one of his arms, like he's trying to grab my hip and pull me backwards, and then he didn't really get a good grip and I was screaming, and he ran off."
A fellow runner stopped to make sure she was fine, still Chrysikopoulos was shaken up.
"I think he was trying to grab me, take me," she said.
She describes the man as, "wearing long sleeve blue button down collared shirt with pin stripes, and... dark blue jeans."
She said it looked like the man had been out the night before.
"I couldnt breathe after it happened, I got really short of breath, I just wanted to take off and start running home."
Friends of the Katy Trail, the group which maintains the trail believes this to be an isolated incident and does have patrols during the weekends on the trail.
The Dallas Police Department is investigating the incident. There are no arrests.
