Arlington police are trying to determine what caused a deadly crash that ended with the car hitting a home early Saturday morning.
Arlington police say at about 2:45 a.m. Saturday it received a call about a crash in the 6100 block of New York Avenue. When officers arrived they found a 2005 Cadillac CTS had crashed into a home in the 1800 block of Faithful Trail, the driver was dead at the scene.
Police say according to the preliminary investigation it appears the driver was going south on New York Ave. when the car left the roadway at Faithful Trail, hit a fire hydrant and a fence, rolled and ended up in the front of the home.
No one inside the home was injured and the driver was the only person in the car.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner will release the driver's identity after the next of kin have been notified.
