Police said the search is related to a Fort Worth missing persons case from the summer, but detectives didn't provide additional details.
Police cruisers have been guarding the perimeter at the 6200 block of Little Fossil Road for 12 hours. Fort Worth police have also set up a large RV that will be used to help process evidence during the investigation.
Several neighbors told NBC5 that police dogs searched the rural, thick terrain late Sunday night.
Neighbors said they also saw a man dressed in jail overalls and shackles talking with several detectives on scene.
Officers said they likely won't be able to search until 9 a.m. when a judge is available at the courthouse to provide warrants.
