An armed man in a blue Texas Rangers baseball cap is believed to have robbed 10 banks.
The FBI and police in three states are searching for a serial bank robber who has been dubbed the "Loan Ranger Bandit."
The armed man in a blue Texas Rangers baseball cap is believed to have robbed 10 banks in Texas, Arkansas and Mississippi that offer loans, according to KETK-TV in Tyler.
In Texas, he is linked to robberies in Wichita Falls, Tyler, Temple, Round Rock, Salado and College Station in 2011 and 2012. The most recent robbery was in Madison, Miss., on Oct. 26, 2012.
Investigators say the man, who does not disguise his face, displays a note demanding 20s, 50s and 100s during the robberies.
No one has been injured in the robberies, the FBI said.
Investigators described the robber as a white man in his early 30s who is approximately 5 feet 7 inches to six feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds with a medium build. The man has short, light-brown hair and wears glasses. He also has a mole or mark on his forehead just above his right eye, investigators said.
The FBI says the man has worn athletic clothing, jeans and business attire during the robberies.
He may be driving a maroon Chevrolet S-10 pickup with a thin white pinstripe around the truck bed, investigators say.
Anyone with information on the robberies is asked to call the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit an online tip.
