A North Texas mother suffered an unspeakable tragedy while trying to make a new start in Colorado. Jamie Dowling lost her 5-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter in a car crash Saturday morning.

The family of 22-year-old Jamie Lee Dowling are mourning the loss of her two children: 5-year-old Landyn Scott and 2-year-old Rayleigh Kay.
"These babies were her life," said Jennifer Reynolds, Dowling's sister and the children's aunt.
About two weeks ago, all three moved from Irving to a small town outside of Boulder. Dowling was about start a job in the medical field.
"It's one of those deals that can happen to all of us-- any of us-- but it happened to her," said Dale Daniels, Dowling's grandfather and the children's great-grandfather.
Although the Colorado State Patrol said Landyn Scott and Rayleigh Kay were wearing their seat belts, they did not survive.
"She'd get in the car, she had them buckled up before she'd ever start up the engine," Daniels said.
The family now resorts to faith as a way to heal.
"The more people that will pray for them, I think the easier it'll be on my sister because I don't know how you get past this," Reynolds said.
As of Sunday, Dowling was still in the intensive care unit at a Colorado hospital.
The other driver in the wreck suffered minor injuries.
