A Fort Worth officer reportedly shot a male suspect multiple times after a robbery at a Whataburger.
According to police information, the Whataburger at 6469 Brentwood Stair Rd. in Fort Worth was held up by a male suspect around 6:26 a.m.
After a Fort Worth Police Officer arrived, the suspect ran away and the officer pursued on foot.
NBC 5 sources say a responding officer was shot at by the suspect and returned fire, hitting the man multiple times. The shooting scene was around two blocks away from the restaurant.
Sources also said the Fort Worth officer was shot in the leg during the robbery.
MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky said the officer is in stable condition on the way to the hospital and that the other man is in critical condition.
